Description
Setting the benchmark
The Dunlop Direzza DZ03G is the leading performer in terms of E-marked semi-slick racing tires. This tire features a directional tread pattern and have a good water dispersion considering the tire nature.
The DZ03G is a semi-slick tire which has been developed for motorsport applications. The race-derived casing and compounds give the Direzza DZ03G excellent handling, directional stability and the best braking performance. It reacts quickly to steering inputs and provides very good feedback. This semi-slick is designed to use in dry and slightly damp conditions. The handling characteristics, however, are balanced and safe enough to work on a wet track.
This Dunlop Direzza DZ03G in 185/55 R15 can be used at various motorsport events where an E-mark is a requirement. We’ve found them hugely successful on the circuit, but if you are able to get some temperature in them, they will knock it out of the park during tarmac rally’s or hill-climbs. Additionally, Dunlop’s Direzza DZ03G is listed on the UK MSA’s List 1C and is used as a control race tire in many forms of motorsport; in both junior and senior categories.
Road legal
The Direzza DZ03G complies with the uniform provisions concerning the approval of pneumatic tires for motor vehicles and their trailers, ECE-30. Nevertheless, the label on any DZ03G reads: “For use on race circuit only. Do not use on public roads.”
Please note that the Dunlop Direza DZ03G was designed only to be fitted on vehicles intended exclusively for racing and therefore the regulation on the labeling of tires with respect to fuel efficiency and other parameters, regulation (EU) 2020/740 of the European Parliament and of the council, does not apply.
In other (and much shorter) words, even though these tires are E-marked, we are only allowed to advertise the DZ03G as racing-tires.
We do not recommend using these tires more than strictly necessary on public roads due to its average aquaplaning resistance.
